Patchouli Essential Oil

Patchouli, the warm, musky and enticing scented plant, belongs to the Labiate plant family.
This family includes other well-known aromatic plants, including Lavender, Mint, and Sage.
The lush-green hued Patchouli has a grounding, balancing, and calming scent, and also provides numerous other health benefits, which make it ideal for use in aroma therapy and in ayurvedic skin care products.
The extract of this plant that is widely known and used for its exceptional properties, is its pure essential oil.
The oil is obtained by harvesting Patchouli leaves several times a year, these leaves are then sun dried, and then the essential oil is carefully extracted by steam distillation.
Patchouli Oil tones and firms up skin by slowing the signs of aging such as the appearance of fine lines and blemishes and can also be massaged into the face to relieve dryness, or to balance oily and acne-prone skin.
It is recommended to blend 1-2 drops of the Essential Oil into your skin care, such as in your daily moisturizer, to balance oily skin.
